We are Bugs N Snakes

We like to call ourselves an exotic animal entertainment and education company. It’s a long phrase for a business that is harder to explain to insurance agents and business license registrars than one would think.

Basically, we bring our line-up of snakes, lizards, tortoises, amphibians, and invertebrates (bugs and spiders) to your event location. Then we talk about them, let people interact with them, answer questions about them, and give people lots of opportunities to take pictures with them.

We love our animals, and we want the kids and adults we meet to - if not love them - at least come away from the presentation liking them a little more than they did before. It’s a pretty special moment when someone who was previously afraid of a certain animal conquers their fear and touches it or even holds it.

We LOVE those special moments. Cause they mean there’s another person less likely to kill a creepy crawly or maim a dirty digger. And they mean there is another person willing to help out in protecting these awesome animals and helping them flourish in the wild and captivity.

Come hang out with Bugs n Snakes on Facebook and Instagram (will go live again 7/1/2023).

Email us your terrible animal puns, burning questions, or NICE animal-related stories. We love to hear from fellow exotic animal lovers as well as those just wanting to reach out and share.

Please note:

We do not sell exotic animals or supplies. we can give you lists of great breeders and businesses that do sell those things though.

We sometimes adopt, rehome, or rehab animals in need, but it often depends on the animal and circumstances around the reason it is being surrendered. We are not a rescue organization, but we’d be happy to hook you up with some awesome groups locally and statewide.

We are happy to answer animal care questions on critters we feel advanced enough with to be a good source of information. If we don’t feel like we can give good advice, we will recommend someone who can.

We do not bring animals that would be considered dangerous to events - especially if attendees will be children. This means no snapping turtles, rattlesnakes, cobras, or Komodo dragons. Not only are these animals very illegal here (without special permitting), they wouldn’t be as fun to interact with. If we do bring something that shouldn’t be touched, we make sure to let attendees know about it - and why they can’t touch it - first thing.
