We are one of the only businesses of its kind in the Spokane County (and surrounding) area, making us the local source for reptile, amphibian, and invertebrate live animal encounters. We have years of experience working with the specific animals we include in our line-up, and we pride ourselves on being educational as well as entertaining. We love our animals - whether they have no legs, eight legs, or a hundred legs - and for us there is nothing quite like that awesome moment when we get to share in a child (or adult’s) first experience with the creatures we adore so much.

Recommended presentation lengths:
30-45 minutes for children under 6 years old
60 minutes for classroom presentations and similar
90 minutes for birthday parties
When multiple presentations of any length are booked by one customer on the same day, 15 minutes to one (1) hour break time is necessary between each presentation - for resetting, cleaning, and confirming wellness of animals and handlers/presenters.
Some quick facts: Bugs n Snakes was established as a part-time venture in 2019 and transitioned into a full-time business in 2023. Our operations are licensed in Spokane County, and we have received endorsements from various cities and counties across the state. We are enthusiastic about serving clients from Washington as well as Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, and are willing to travel for events in these locations.
To book presentations, we offer multiple options including our website, email, and Gig Salad. Our pricing is competitive among live animal encounter companies in the United States, taking into account factors such as animal care and wellness, gas and travel time, and payroll for our dedicated animal handlers/presenters. Prior to making a booking, we are more than happy to provide a detailed quote upon request.
Bugs n Snakes does not “rent out” animals for events, productions, presentations, etc by themselves. One of our animal handlers/presenters must always accompany our animals for any type of project. We also require a detailed breakdown of the project, as well as safety protocols.
