• Our basic rate is $150 for 45 minutes to one hour for animal presentations. This is the usual rate for birthday parties, community events, corporate presentations, holiday parties, and similar.

  • A deposit is required at time of booking to confirm presentation on the schedule. In most instances, this deposit will be one half the total agreed upon rate. The balance will be due by the time of the event. The deposit and balance are invoiced separately unless otherwise requested.

  • Additional fees may include:

    More than 60 minute drive time from Bugs n Snakes Spokane WA location to event venue - $0.655 per mile one way

    More than 40 people in attendance for a structured presentation - $25 per every 1-20 additional attendees

    Events without structured presentations (such as fairs, fundraisers, parties, etc) that require more than one or two animal handlers - $50 per presentation hour

    Events lasting more than two hours - regular hourly rate plus $50 per additional hour

    The animals will be presented outside and the temperature is expected to be more than 85 degrees or less than 70 degrees -

    $25 for 65-70 degrees

    $50 for 85-99 degrees

    No outside presentations will be booked when temperatures are below 65 degrees.

    No presentations - inside or outside - will be booked when temperatures are 100 degrees or above.

  • First time, non-educational customers receive $25 off their total presentation price. This will be reflected on their invoice.

  • The basic rate for educational programs (such as classroom visits during the regular school year) start at $100 for 45 minutes to one hour, for up to 40 students. For larger groups, there will be a $25 charge for each 1-20 students. We do prefer no more than 40 children in attendance at a time, however, to allow for questions and interactions with the animals.

  • For every three presentations booked at the regular price, educational facilities can book a fourth presentation for half price. This program goes into effect as of September 1, 2023, and does not include any presentations done before this date. All schools that book presentations as of September 1, 2023, will automatically be enrolled in this program, and will be alerted when they are eligible for the half price presentation.

  • If your event doesn’t fall under the usual types (such as classroom visits or birthday parties), we can customize a rate specifically for you. Send as many details as you can about your event and what you are looking for from Bugs n Snakes, and we’ll send you a custom estimate.

  • Discounted rates are offered throughout the year through mailer, email, and social media campaigns. We also give out coupons at events and to fundraisers and other businesses that want to include them in customer appreciation gifts.

  • If we must cancel our appearance at an event after it has been invoiced and paid for, we will issue a refund within 48 hours. This will come via the method of original payment unless a refund check is requested.

  • Debit/credit or check is preferred. Venmo is also accepted.

    We invoice for both deposits and balances, so either or both can be paid online. Deposit invoices are sent at time of booking for immediate payment, and balance invoices are sent closer to time of event, to be paid before or at time of presentation.

    If multiple presentations are booked, balance payment is due by the date of the final presentation. Invoices can be sent out separately for each date, or all presentations can be combined into one invoice.

    W9s from Bugs n Snakes are attached to all business, school, camp, and organization invoices. If a W9 is needed and not received, please request one.

    Tips are given directly to the animal handlers (independent contractors) and are not deducted from or included in their regular contract pay. If more than one handler is present, the tips are divided equally. The owner of Bugs n Snakes does not receive any tip money.

  • These fees are only applicable to outside presentations and events, as extra care and prep has to be taken to ensure animal and handler safety.

    Fees are based on the expected temperature for the day of the event at the time of invoicing. We utilize The Weather Channel website to keep track of temperatures.
